Executive summary and strategic objectives

A clearer route from visit to inquiry

Cedar & Pine Home needs a website that makes its furniture collections easy to browse and gives trade buyers a clear path to request a consultation. This sample proposal covers a responsive redesign with clearer navigation, product storytelling, and lead capture.
The Cedar & Pine website redesign combines UX strategy, visual design, WordPress development, editable content, search foundations, and launch preparation in one delivery plan.

Primary project goals

Modern UX/UI
Give Cedar & Pine Home a visual system suited to its furniture collections and trade audience.
Mobile-first experience
Make navigation and key actions usable across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
More qualified inquiries
Clarify user journeys and place calls to action where they support lead capture.
Fast, accessible pages
Build for page speed, accessible use, and measurable performance.

Project scope and site architecture

The proposed scope covers end-to-end design, custom WordPress development, and content structure, with up to 8 custom page templates.

Core deliverables

  1. Custom UX/UI design: user flows, wireframes, a design system or style guide, and desktop and mobile Figma prototypes.
  2. Responsive front-end development and WordPress CMS integration, including editable content areas.
  3. Core page layouts for Homepage, About, Collection Landing, Collection Detail, Trade Program, Journal Index, Journal Article, and Contact.
  4. On-page SEO and performance setup: metadata, image optimization, and an XML sitemap.
  5. Analytics and lead capture: Google Analytics 4, agreed tracking pixels, and forms routed to the designated CRM or email destination.

Proposed page hierarchy

Homepage ├── About Cedar & Pine ├── Furniture Collections │ ├── Living Room │ └── Dining Room ├── Trade Program ├── Journal └── Contact
The final sitemap, page inventory, navigation labels, and content ownership will be confirmed during discovery.

Five-step design and development process

Each stage ends with a review point so the team can resolve decisions before work moves forward.
1. Discovery and UX strategy
Research users, review positioning, define the sitemap, and prepare wireframes.
2. UI design and prototyping
Create Figma mockups, a design system, and clickable desktop and mobile prototypes.
3. Front-end and CMS development
Build responsive pages with semantic code and configure WordPress.
4. QA, testing and SEO
Test browsers and devices, audit accessibility, and tune page speed and metadata.
5. Launch and training
Deploy to the production domain, hand off assets, and run a 60-minute CMS walkthrough.

Reviews and approvals

  • Sitemap and wireframes are reviewed before high-fidelity design.
  • Interactive Figma designs require client approval before development begins.
  • The staging site is reviewed before final QA and production deployment.
